All the hermits knew this; they all took extra care with the friends who strayed a bit too far down mountains, were pushed off bridges, or— in Mumbo’s case— broke their elytra mid-flight.
When the death message appeared in the communicator, brain injury was everyone’s first concern. But even so, no one was prepared for Mumbo’s sudden retrograde amnesia.
