There are many ways something can be more than a player. Gods. Voids. Creatures. Those that are born as more, or those that are born as players. Known and unknown, obvious or not, there are many entities that are more than players.
Hermitcraft is home to many of these creatures. Sun god, Voidwalker, anchient builder, Joe Hills.
Mumbo Jumbo is not one of these creatures. He is a plain boring human who likes to do redstone. Mumbo just has some weird quirks, but in a group like the hermits, a couple small things is barley noticeable.
Turning into a god is a slow process, and unbeknownst to anyone, Mumbo hasn't been fully human for a very long time.

Welcome to 'Second Life', a death-based game. You all have been brought here to play a deathmatch based on specific merits. The rules are simple; you will each be assigned two lives. When you die, you lose one of your lives. If you kill someone else, you gain their life. For simplicity, there will be a color system. Red for one life, Yellow for two, and Green for more than that. Reds can attack anyone for any reason, and may become hostile, while Yellows can only attack Greens freely, and Reds for self-defence, and Greens are only allowed self-defence. Joel Beans is tired of life. He's been floating through mist for five years, no end in sight. So when his longtime friend Grian gets him his first real job, well, ever, Joel is out of his depth. Especially concerning the guy who's been assigned to show him around- the famous redstone prodigy, Etho Slab. Joel can't quite put his finger on it, but something about Etho feels different. From the moment they meet, Joel finds himself confused... and more than a little grudgingly hopeful to learn more about the redstoner.
Joel Beans used to be full of joy and energy. Despite his background, where he grew up, he always had that dream of becoming a famous architect. It kept him going through school bullies, broken hearts, and friends who were having just as hard a time as he was. All through this, ever since eighth grade, his girlfriend Lizzie Shadow was there with him. She climbed the ladder up and out in a way no one else could, and Joel wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
Until one day, she was gone.
