This work follows Alastor Moody during his Hogwarts years, long before he became the Auror we know.The story aims to stay as close to canon as possible while exploring a version of him not yet defined by paranoia, but by caution, restraint, and an observant nature.
There is romance, but it is a slow burn and remains appropriate to the characters’ age and social context (1960s, traditional wizarding families). Very Austen-coded.
If you expect a purely happy ending… well. This is an origin story. And all origins require growth, and where there is growth, there is pain.
So expect a great deal of internal spiraling along the way.
