Summary
Hey all, I've noticed that, with the upcoming announcement that there is going to be a movie made, there's a lot of interest in the original 1997 Pacific Rim anime. But, as a lot of you probably know, the American dubbed version that got released in 2003-2004, while a classic I have a lot of nostalgia for, is very different from the version that aired in Japan in the late nineties. And, while there are some fan subs out there, there, ahem, let's say, dubious legality leaves a lot to be desired. So I thought I would do my own translation, of the original airing, with some of my own commentary, enjoy!

I was just starting to change and I could still, like, form coherent thoughts. When I go full wolfman, I totally lose my ability to talk or reason. I go, like, completely feral. And what you saw wasn’t my, uh… full size yet.”
“Oh,” Hermann choked slightly on the syllable. “Indeed,” he added awkwardly, feeling an uncomfortable flush begin to creep up the back of his neck. “How, er… well, ah… large do you get?”

No, Hermann Gottlieb had a problem, and it was one best described as metaphysical, uncanny, otherworldly. He found himself plagued by visions sent from some kind of entity, something he later would presume to be extraterrestrial.Aka, my attempt at a Precursors!Hermann type au, except WAY more complicated and angsty than it needs to be. Who needs possession when you have giving a character horrendous visions instead, am I right?
All kinds of angst and character explorations galore, as we go through the befores, in betweens, and a few afters of the original Pacific Rim movie with the lens of "what if Hermann was plagued by the Precursors from the very beginning". Because I like to bully him. Lol. Enjoy! -
