Summary
Having his country incorporated into the alien's imperium, the young Daniel Schacht decides to follow his former career as a detective and begins working with his new overlords against the emerging resistence of his own home country. His demoralisation having long been his most defining trait he begins a metomorphosis to his unbroken self.
The aliens, named Shil'vati, having flipped gender rules, more strenght and height than the humans and a much lower male population makes working together never easy, as both sides have it hard to understand each other's wants, needs and outlook on life.

All that had happened since the Wrath had walked into his life- Nomen Kaar and Jaesa Willsaam, and Plan Zero and Baras’s betrayal and Malavai's betrayal, and almost losing him to Cytharat, and dying on Zoist, and being dragged back from the grave on Zoist, and walking through the ashes on Zoist hand in hand and finally knowing what it was like to be forgiven-
