Nineteen days of going in to repair machines in a long unventilated room where dozens of women labored in the heat and the dark for money that would buy less food then slaves on Dromund Kaas were rationed. Nineteen days of walking along the beach, watching the perversely beautiful Balmorran sunset reflected off chemical tainted waters. Nineteen days of holding his son when he cried and pushing down his own feelings into the depths of his belly... and only then did the irony strike Malavai.
All that had happened since the Wrath had walked into his life- Nomen Kaar and Jaesa Willsaam, and Plan Zero and Baras’s betrayal and his betrayal, and almost losing him to Cytharat, and dying on Zoist, and being dragged back from the grave on Zoist, and walking through the ashes on Zoist hand in hand and finally knowing what it was like to be forgiven-

Could a lonely orphan girl really be royalty?

When a basic human instinct leads Wren to save the life of an Imperial scout in the wrong place at the wrong time, she finds herself struggling to hate the woman on the other side. The self she created for herself as a survival mechanism begins to falter.
