Summary
After a vicious attack destroys their home, Marco and his brother Shane arrive at the goblin city, Hemera with only each other, and to be split apart almost immediately. Marco, a rare siphon, is immediately apprehended for military evaluation and thrust into a difficult world where his power is seen as an asset, whereas his younger brother, deemed a powerless void to hide the dark powers within, is placed within the city's academy and expected to simply fall into line. However, the attack that forced the brothers from their home has many unanswered questions, and few are willing to provide any answers.
As the brothers struggle through very different worlds within the high walls of Hemera, they begin to realise that something much larger is at play.
This story is written from multiple perspectives, starting from their journey from their small quiet town of Harnsey, following the paths of two brothers, separated and thrust into worlds where power, loyalty, and survival do not often go together. -
