Instead, he can turn into a golden retriever now. Which means Kenny has essentially adopted Butters as his favorite stray dog, calls him a good boy, and gives him belly rubs that Butters absolutely does not have the emotional stability to process.
Also, one of Kenny’s best friends found out Butters' secret, reacted by going “dope” instead of “concerned,” and now blackmails poor Butters into helping with poor life decisions like they’re some kind of discount Bonnie and Clyde. Butters did not agree to this, he would like that on record.
