A woman named Aurora would one day stumble upon Radio-station Alpha X, the abode of mechanic and pilot Dr. Kel. After convincing him, he agrees to fly her to Great Bear Island in northern Canada to deliver a package of supposed immediate importance. In a strange, geoelectromagnetic event, his plane looses functionality and crashes into the side of a rock wall, leaving him wounded, alone and stranded on an Island he has no escape from.
