Basically, Grace gets exposed to a dangerous amount of radiation during an EVA and doesn't want to tell Rocky bc of what happened to Rocky's crew <3
THIS IS A REWORKED VERSION OF "TEMPEST" - after some comments, I wanted to keep the soul of the story, but make it more scientifically plausible. While there are still probably some inaccuracies, I still hope this isn't as messy as before.

When a consort and a eunuch are killed inside the rear palace, an area of strict movement, in a manner to much like a curse Jinshi thinks it is a perfect way to convince the Emperor to allow Maomao back into his staff. He can not investigate inside of the rear palace as a prince, but she can, only more so with his authority backing her, and if she can find the culprit, find the murderer, she can return to work at the palace. Maomao loves the pleasure district, but it is far too tempting a deal, and all she has to do is solve a murder.
All while they both try to ignore the the feelings and memories of things they thought of squarely in the past, especially as they complicate the feelings still blooming between them.

At the time of writing, the manga is just on the verge of revealing Suo's backstory. The fandom has a lot of theories, of course, but I found myself wondering how Suo was ever going to come back to Furin after the events of Chapter 211. This scene is what my imagination presented me with.Followed by a bunch of "could be the truth but probably not" variations.
