The creature from Venus died killing the Golden Man, its corpse the last safe haven place on Earth Bet for what remains of a humanity abandoned by the fortunate in favour of alternate Earths. This City of Eden is filled with all those who cannot depart for other worlds for fear they shall become Titans.
Whilst at the summer camp, Taylor Hebert watched the battle that doomed the world with her own eyes. Four years later, she is given an opportunity to help lead humanity into the future. If the abandoned remnants of humanity are doomed, then it must evolve into something new that can survive this broken world.

Summary
Changing universes, getting superpowers, and merging mind and soul with a homeless orphan child isn't terribly dramatic or difficult. The parts before that really aren't all that much worse. Unfortunately, that's only the beginning for poor, unfortunate, Jacqueline Colere. Being small and adorable is a pretty good superpower, as is being mostly capable of making good decisions. And healing powers are pretty great, even if they’re also pretty useless in a fight. She even has good people skills (sorta) and surprisingly good knowledge, maturity and planning ability for a fourteen year old.
Now if only the universe she’d arrived in wasn’t a horrible, horrible mess in all sorts of ways, and maybe if she’d actually so much as heard of the story she’d supposedly been shoved into, things would be great.
Well, in comparison to her current situation, anyway. By this point, she'd take it.

Even to places as far from reality as Creation. Peleps Daneril was shipwrecked when one such portal opened beneath his boat. Stranded in a distant foreign world he must adapt to new customs and a new lack of wealth.
With this single change Brockton Bay is nothing like it should be.
Lung the Dragon of Kyushu fears the water for he knows that is where true dragons live.
The Brigade never managed to get the New Wave movement off the ground. They never had a victory large enough to bring them out of the closet, and with their own children to worry about they no longer want to.
The Marche is still holding back the Empire 88 and the ABB but now has even stricter policies since Marquis can get money without selling drugs or any of the other reprehensible things that gangs normally do.
Coil and Cauldron avoid the city like the plague because something breaks any precognitive power that tries to predict events there.
But this isn’t any of there stories.
This is Taylor’s story, and she has the blood of Dragons.

Of course, this being Taylor, she immediately heads out and gets herself into a whole lot of trouble. Does she have a plan? Yes, but it's not always a good one.
This is a fic about pushing a 'weak' power to its absolute limits. It's also a fic about Taylor biting off way more than she can chew and then chewing anyway, consequences be damned. She might not be able to beat an average guy in a fistfight, but boy can she be a pain in the neck for anyone dumb enough to think that means they can take her on.

Since parahumans appeared in Earth Bet, soulmate bonds increasingly began manifesting as guide animals. Normally, a guide animal is a magical creature that travels between soulmates to guide, comfort, and support them until they meet their soulmate.
Eidolon has the exception, an asshole goose that won’t stop biting him, and, apparently, he has too many problems for the thing to ever leave him alone, even following him to Endbringer battles.
Danny Hebert always thought he never had a soulmate, neither he nor Annette having a guide animal of their own, even during the points in their lives when they would need one the most. Needless to say, Danny is pretty surprised when a goose shows up after Annette’s death.
They’re all even more surprised when the goose gets even more aggressive during Leviathan’s attack on Brockton Bay.
