Summary
Bilbo Baggins has been running away ever since… well, let’s just say that certain events from his past have left him heartbroken and fleeing to live abroad. That is, until he gets a phone call from an old friend that changes everything. Facing not only the challenge of taking care of his teenage nephew but also coming home to where his whole life fell apart, Bilbo is not sure if he’s up to the task. To top it all off, he keeps crossing paths with the infuriatingly handsome, tall berk that seems to be just as concerned about Frodo as everyone else in the small town.
Tired of running and trying his best to do the right thing, Bilbo finds that standing still is not as easy as one might expect. After all, once you open your heart to others, you risk getting it broken all over again. -

Frodo and Sam are traveling through Ephel Duath with Sméagol to destroy the one ring, however Sméagol attempts to steal the ring by framing Sam for eating the Lembas bread. Similar to the events that happened in the movie but with more tension, angst, and feelings. I do not own LOTR or any works besides my own. This is something I made because I had the idea for a fic and couldn’t find one anywhere. WIP. I will try my best to upload frequently!

The tuft of golden fur at the end flicked against his calves. "The stars... the stars are all wrong for October. And the gatekeeper... he looked like a lad. A lad who’s been dead twenty years.

Frodo watched his uncle,young, vibrant, and completely unaware of the Ring, the fire, or the burden that would one day break his spirit. A fierce, protective instinct rose in Frodo’s chest. He couldn't let Bilbo go through this alone. Not this time.

On the day before moving into university halls (leaving it a bit late), the Fellowship, plus some others, are added to a group chat to get to know the people they will be living with for the next year. What could possibly go wrong with all these characters living under the same roof?
Expect lots of teasing and (mostly friendly) tormenting, a concerning number of things getting broken, and way less sleep than is at all healthy.
In case it isn't already abundantly obvious, I did not create these characters, nor do I own them. I'm also definitely not the first to write in this AU either; this was inspired by a lot of brilliant and funny works which I loved reading.
