The setting was perfect for Ron’s plan. He was feeling excited and a little bit on edge for the weeks of careful planning. The day had been carefully chosen, and everything else had been planned and set up properly. This was the D day (the “D” for “day-of-making-Draco-Malfoy-come-out-of-his-shell-and-snog-him-senseless” which was obviously too long, therefore, D day. Or night. That also worked). It sounded easier than it really was.
Ron was done with the careful and measured approach. He had been trying to approach the blonde innocently, treating him as if he were fine china that could break if he talked to him too straightforwardly. Ron knew better than that. Draco Malfoy was not a scaredy cat. He was a caged tiger. Powerful and mighty. And Ron wanted to own all of it. To unravel him. Untangle all of the ropes he had choked his true self with. And enjoy basking in all its sheer force once the waves come crashing.
But first, he would have to catch him.Or Ron chasing a scared Malfoy all over the place, even though they are both crazy for each other.

“Not lookin’ too hot there rabbit,” Andrew mutters while pulling out a new cigarette and lighting it. “How did you find yourself in our neck of the woods?”
The wolf glares back at him, if looks could kill he’d be the one on the ground nearly cut in half. So Andrew just stands there staring down at the wolf and smoking with little interest. They stay that way for a little while until pain crosses the wolf’s face and it whimpers pathetically, blue eyes shining at Andrew. He rolls his eyes and finishes his cigarette.
“Fine, stay in the basement, no talking, leave as soon as you’re able,” and the wolf nods along as Andrew speaks. “Final one, stay away from-,” but Andrew’s cut off as Kevin himself bursts through the bushes behind him.

After the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry helps Snape survive Nagini's bite and decides to become a Healer. Harry and Draco strike up a friendship that begins with Harry asking him for Potions advice. When he heals Astoria of her Malediction and makes it possible for them to have a child, Harry and Draco become close.
Years later, Severus fortuitously returns from travelling (avoiding England) just as Harry is looking for an innovative Potions Master to work on a project restoring magic to Squibs.
Harry has long held a torch for Snape and hopes they'll finally, at the very least, call a truce. Severus still grasps at the many assumptions he made about Potter in order to deny that he's long known them not to be true. He certainly can't imagine they'll get along but Potter... Harry is friendly and respectful and sparks of a different kind than before fly between them and ignites something special.
The MCD warning and Sad Ending tag might turn some people away but there's a stopping point where you can get off the... train, as it were, and pretend there's a happier ending if you want. I'll be clear where this is. Hopefully, knowing this, more people choose to read my story.
