At least falling down a hole and into a trash heap makes for a good excuse! And hey, you even get to make some friends—maybe even something more.

He shortened his strides to match hers, a quiet ease as he navigated the turns of the halls. Meanwhile she was hyper aware of her breathing, louder than her footsteps and seeming to echo through the castle. She was about to apologise, insist she wasn't out of shape, but maybe all the travelling....
"What's your name?" he asked. "I guess I'll hear it when they call you to be sorted, but I'd kind of like to know it before everybody else does. I met you first, seems fair, or less weird than not knowing."
She tucked a wayward strand behind her ear. Her cheeks felt as red as his hair.

Things don’t go as she thought it would and as for Tanjiro, a supporting big brother trying to finish high school slowly unravels the more interesting side of him, one that will sure help him figuring out why that smile remained in his mind.
A snap broke her from her daze, and Daki blinked at him.
There’s still movement behind you, but I don’t think it matters, Tanjiro said as he lowered her phone.
Her pupils grew wider.
You have my gratitude if you show me how to smile like that then. Getting closer to her, he continued, looking back, I don’t remember why I thought fondly of this place other than since Takeo, playgrounds have always been where I’ve come back to. It doesn’t know me, and maybe I need to find my own. Stretching her phone towards her, he smiled softly. What do you think that place would be?

Bucky was still mostly asleep and only groaned at the disturbance when the man shuffled out of bed. It was quiet for a few minutes and Bucky was back asleep, but then the man was in his doorway shouting, “WE GOT FUCKING MARRIED?!”
Bucky didn’t know who married this man, but they’d made a terrible mistake on the account that he was the most obnoxious man on the planet and for some ungodly reason in Bucky’s hotel room.
