“Long ago, many years ago.” Odysseus finally says without looking at his son and continues walking. The prince slowly falls behind in rhythm thinking of his father’s words. They eventually make it out of the trees, seeing their palace in the short distance.

I try to pull away from the glass, but he places his hand on the back of my head, practically forcing me to drink from the same glass that he did. I take a few sips, admittedly, it does help the food go down easier, but the heat in my cheeks and the weight in my chest replace the choking feeling. "
