Nothing goes to plan; Iron Man is down, and Tony's lungs are damaged by smoke inhalation. James, too, isn't in good shape, maybe because Tony stabbed him, maybe because something is very wrong with his prosthetic arm. Probably both.
They must traverse the city turned warzone to try to reach their fellow Avengers, but between them and help are traps, bombs, and teams of soldiers that herd further and further from help. Survival pushes the pair together, and slowly the walls between them break down, and trust grows. Tony starts to see beyond the past, to the fragile human behind the legend of the Winter Soldier.
Their bad day has turned into a bad week when they are taken captive by the enemy. An enemy whose plan is far more diabolical than any of them could have imagined. Now, they only have each other. What horrible fate is planned for them, and how will they survive? More importantly, how will they escape?
