The Lucky Bastards of the Heifong Space Race is a speculative crossover that drops characters from Outlaw Star, Jujutsu Kaisen, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Cowboy Bebop into the galaxy’s most dangerous, televised, politically rigged space race. A portal malfunction strands Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, and Gojo in the Outlaw Star universe, landing them in a cell with the Kestral brothers aboard the underdog ship Lucky Bastard. Meanwhile, the Guardians enter the race under the condition that they must place exactly third, and the Bebop crew sign on out of sheer desperation and debt.
The race structure mirrors the original Heifong Grand Prix but is reinterpreted through ensemble comedy, high-stakes action, and character-driven collisions between very different moral philosophies and genres.
