When Link found the doll made to look like him, he thought it would be the strangest part of his day. He never would have imagined that it would pull him across time, that it would set him on a journey with nine other Heroes touched by courage and sharing his name.
No one ever knew who made the Life Dolls, but now they keep appearing, and coming face to face with an Ancient Sage raises more questions than answers. Now the Chain of Ten Links find themselves thrown onto a quest that they know they cannot turn from, fighting against an ancient enemy.
They are a team. A chain. A family. Every step of their journey brings them closer and they all know that no matter what happens, they will face this battle together. No matter where it leads them.

One moment Link was desperately pushing his train past its limits, trying to get back to Hyrule Castle to warn Zelda about the pirates. The next he was sitting up in a watery grave and Zelda had apparently gotten herself disembodied again. Which, he could deal with, it had happened before after all. But where was his train? In fact, where were the train tracks, and what's this about a Calamity?
Note: I've seen stories where Wild was a brand-new soul, but I haven't seen any where a previous Link came back. Also, this was born from the idea that Spirit is an engineer and all I can imagaine is him running around trying to figure out how the Guardians work.

“Oi! Link!” Now that caught his attention. Link stood up, ears pricked as he glanced around the area. The only people around were two young men, maybe a little older than himself, whom he had never seen before.
The one wearing a light blue tunic stepped closer. “...Wind?” He asked, voice much softer than the yelling from before.
Link frowned, brows furrowing in confusion. “What?” Were they calling him ‘Wind’? Was that some sort of name? “Do you need something?”
“Do you know who we are?” Blue Tunic questioned. He appeared much more tense than before, shoulders hunched nearly halfway up the length of his neck. He worried his bottom lip between his teeth, electric blue eyes wide and waiting.
Link was getting more and more uncomfortable. “Um…” he hesitated, frowning. “no? Should I? I don’t think I’ve seen you around town before. Are you working with the royal family?”
That sparked a reaction in the other one. Red Tunic narrowed his eyes, tossing an arm in front of Blue Tunic. “Wild. That’s not Wind.”

Wild always noticed.
He noticed Time's subtle interest in more feminine things.
He noticed when Legend would get extra moody, or when Legend would subtly remove his binder before he fell asleep so nobody noticed.
He noticed when Hyrule would longingly look at pretty things, but would admittedly deny it when he was caught. Or how they seemed to enjoy they/them pronouns just as much as he/him.
He noticed how Might would always flinch whenever someone referred to them as 'he', only ever seeming to feel comfortable when someone referred to them as 'they'.
He noticed how Four would sometimes be lost in thought as he looked at his body, as if he was confused why he didn't fully feel comfortable in it.
He noticed because that had been him. He noticed because he understood what it was like to feel afraid of being misgendered or afraid of coming out because he was worried he'd be seen as different. But Wild made it his mission to help his new comrades come out and no longer be misgendered!
OR
Wild helps the genderqueers and crossdressers of the Chain come out with all his transgender and crossdresser icon glory shortly after they begin the quest.
