Four stares at the triumphant handshake between the two, Legend tapping the back of his Pegasus boots against the ground nervously, and Hyrule wiping the splatter of blood away from his mussed curls. A usual affair. His eyes gloss over with longing, and for once, Four lets his guard down as he watches for what he yearns for; To be wanted. To be a part of something, and to be loved.
Maybe they'd be better as a group of eight. Maybe Four wasn't needed.
OR
Four doesn't really feel valued. What more can he do to earn their love?

“Yeah, that’s it.” Twilight encouraged.
Four melted to the touch when Hyrule began rubbing a tentative hand up and down Four’s back at a soothing pace.
“There you go.” Twilight eased back more, seeing that Hyrule had been more comfortably settled with Four. “See? You’re a natural!” Hyrule blushed at the praise.
Hyrule began to muss Four’s hair, his fear lifting as he heard Four quietly stifle a laugh against his shoulder.
OR
Little Four had been perfectly content to spend the day with both Hyrule and Twilight. However, this was until naptime came along.

I don't really know what this is. My brain just said "WRITE PEASANT" and I said "yessir 07" in my best jester impression and jingled away. Basically it's just projecting onto Vio as well as a slight character study. The whole fic kinda felt like a dream when I was writing it. Not like it was a dream to write but like I was dreaming while writing and just vividly hallucinated unto the page. Whatever enjoy?

Four’s heart slammed against his rib cage at that and he staggered. Was it possible? How? How could Legend have done it? “Shadow?”

Well he was already exhausted. Between everyone staring at them, Blue looking like he was about to murk someone, Vio magically disappearing, and Red’s insistence on trying to over explain their situation to just about everyone- Hylia, help him they hadn’t even gotten out of the market stalls!
Although, he couldn’t entirely blame the others for being so… on edge? Not while he could practically feel the whispers, tendrils of acidic smoke scraping against his neck, rising and making him feel dizzy and ungrounded. Eyes burning into his skull as they tried to go about their day… Could you shiver from heat? Because he’s pretty sure that’s how he felt.
