Though things are different and the boys don't have the memories of their previous life, things of the past still find a way to cause chaos. Doesn't help that Dametrius now works for King Rauru and Queen Sonia as a mercenary and it puts his family as whole in danger.

Its been two years since that fateful day when she broke the mirror of twilight and prevented a way for anyone to cross over into the Twilight Realm. What will Link do? Is Midna prepared to see him again? And if so, what kind of exchange would they have? Link prepares himself as best he can and sets off to find a way to see the one woman who stole his heart, left him with the bittersweet goodbye and that kiss.

Life was pleasant on Lon Lon ranch until eight portals appeared in front of Link’s home. He knew it was trouble and packed his gear quickly before studying each portal.
The portals were a swirling golden force with no indication of what was on the other side. Also, none of them let him enter.
Frankly, it was the goddess of light messing with him again. He just knew it and didn’t want anything to do with it. He wanted to be with Malon and maybe have a kid someday. Not deal with eight strange portals he couldn’t enter, sitting in his front yard. Ugh, they’d probably spit out something nasty or likely to give him a stress-induced headache.

Warning: I have only played Twilight princesses and the hyrule warriors age of calamity, so I based the characters on the versions of link I have read fanfiction on and filled the gaps by forming a different version of the time line. I have also taken some creative liberties. -
