Summary
Daxter has a rock-solid ten-year plan: avoid the ire of Sandover Village's curmudgeonly old Sage; wait for his best bud, Jak, to complete his training and become the new Sage; then live in Jak's attic for the rest of his life. He's got this all figured out, and the upcoming visit from some of Haven City's bigwigs isn't going to blow him off course.
That's what he thinks, anyway. Right up until the bigwigs' armored retinue are arresting Jak for a crime they won't disclose, but he definitely didn't commit.
It's two years, three months, and twelve days before he sees Jak again, and his buddy's a little... different from how he used to be. The physical differences aside, this Jak doesn't seem interested in collecting bugs and studying medicine. This Jak doesn't seem truly happy unless he's got blood running down his hands. Being the favorite subject of the Minister of Science's experiments can apparently do a number on a guy. But Jak thinks there's a way to change him back, and he's not willing to go home until he finds it.
Staying in Haven was not part of Daxter's plan - far from it - but for Jak, he'll do it.
He'll do anything to get his best friend back.

Though the Commander has hope that its last survivor, Jak, can be a success, he doesn't have time to find it out. Jak has to take this project's existence to the grave.
What the Baron says, goes.
What the Precursors want, though, they get. In this case, it's for this planet, as unfinished and half abandoned by their kind as it is, to survive.

Summary
With Cyber Errol's defeat and the destruction of the Dark Maker Ship, peace has finally returned to Haven City and the Wasteland city of Spargus. The Metal Heads - yet again devoid of a leader - are easily routed and destroyed, with any survivors retreating far from civilization. The KG Death Bots, too, have been shut down or repurposed for use in the Freedom League. Rebuilding has begun, and it seems that Jak and Daxter may finally get to breathe easy for the first time since leaving Sandover Village...
The Dark Maker Ship was only the beginning. News of its destruction has reached across the galaxy, and the Dark Makers are not pleased. A war for Jak's planet has just begun, and it might finally be time to take the fight to them. Existence itself is on the line, so Jak and Daxter must enlist friends and foes alike to survive the coming Precursor War.

Summary
By the time he saw the barrel around the next turn, it was already too late.
It was so cold, the way the dark eco burned through his skin, seeping into his veins. His stomach rolled with how it writhed in him. Anyone would die from this much all at once.
Anyone but him.

Summary
"Keira turns to look at him, the admiration on her face turning to contempt. 'And you’re a good judge of character? Ha!' If her praise of Erol had felt like wumpbees beneath his skin, this feels like being stabbed in the heart. Worse, it feels like the dark eco is tagging along with the knife, slithering gleefully into his soul.
She opens her mouth to continue, but Jak cuts her off. 'Shut up…' he says through gritted teeth and clenched fists.
'Excuse me?!' Keira asks, affronted and offended. And she doesn’t understand, can’t understand, just how close she is to death."An alternate version of the scene before the Class 2 race.

It was supposed to be simple. Simple. Easy. Clean. Safe. Erol was almost certain it WOULD have been...almost.
He had always anticipated one day seeing the fruits of his labour, he just didn't imagine seeing it like this.

Summary
Just as he always drilled into the heads of Jak and his annoying orange friend who Samos had prayed would’ve been left out of this time loop — all actions have consequences.
This was the consequences of his actions.
Not that he was aware of it occurring at the time.
At the time, Jak had simply been hungry.
--
Or; Jak mistakes dark eco for jelly and eats it

Summary
Jak gets really hungry after his dark transformation wears off.
This dumb idea came to me at work and it took a different direction than I intended. It's not dark and no one gets eaten...in the literal sense.

Summary
When Jak first met Daxter it was the day after they had landed in Sandover, when he had gotten lost and ran into a couple of older boys who did not seem to like the new kid. They picked on him in any way they could, his green hair, his shortness, him not talking, anything they could find about him they made fun of, it was only when Jak started crying that Daxter entered the scene, punching one of the boys square in the nose.
Daxter had grabbed Jak by the wrist and ran from the bullies, only stopping once they were by the docs. They stopped, stared at each other, and started laughing, laughing so hard for so long that by the end of it they were both holding their stomachs and out of breath. Once they stopped they took a deep breath, looked at each other, and started laughing again. Neither knew the other's name, but they did know this was gonna be a great friendship.
And thinking about how he met Daxter, he hoped he wasn’t making a mistake taking the kid with him, and away from this horrid place.
