In 2025, the Netflix crew set out to film the episode for Drive to Survive featuring McLaren's top racers: Oscar Piastri & Lando Norris and their escalating, heated rivalry for the championship. However, that all changed when Lando said something so offhandedly gay (or European) to his teammate which totally derails the serious documentary... and fries Oscar's brain.
Chapter 1 is self-contained. The story can end there if you want.
Chapter 2 onwards is misery bc...idk this relationship seems like it's built for something both toxic and highly rewarding.
Chapter 5 is a recap of off-season shenanigans and reactions to unprecedented calendar changes.

Oscar’s focus comes back full blast when he hears soft, but quick footsteps and then feels two tiny arms wrap around his leg.
“Mister!” Oscar looks down and sees a little toddler look up to him with big shiny eyes. “Mister, I lost mommy”.
The McLaren driver tries to shake his surprise. He crouches down to be more at eye level with the boy. “Where did you see her last?” he asks. The kid just shrugs. He looks close to tears.

At the Monaco GP, Oscar finds a kid walking around the paddock unsupervised. He decides to help the polite boy find his mom but gets way too attached in the process.
Lando is here to help, Oscar thinks. And is definitely not a distraction…

Oscar had never really put all that much thought into his status as a beta.
As a beta, his secondary sex didn't put anywhere near as much of an effect on his every day life in the way that being an alpha or omega would. He didn't experience heats or ruts, and well… his ability to scent was baseline. His own scent was mild and even, much less prone to souring. In turn, he wasn't as affected by the scents of others either. It meant he had a pretty easy time on the track, all things considered.

McLaren has just secured the 2025 Constructors’ Championship — a historic achievement. The Singapore circuit, with its lights and humid atmosphere, is the perfect stage: sweat, heat, and tension are in every detail.
But the race was clean. In the opening laps, Lando Norris went for an aggressive overtake on Oscar Piastri, lightly tapping the Australian’s car. The contact didn’t cause any serious damage, but it was enough to light the fuse — especially since Oscar had been leading at that moment. Even if it wasn’t exactly Lando’s fault.
The team won. Lando stepped onto the podium. So did Oscar. But the looks they exchanged during the celebration said it all — that little “touch” hadn’t been forgotten.
