Various Azula-centric AU/Post-Canon concepts by ThePrincessRegent

Summary
A dumping ground for concepts/ideas regarding Azula-centric ATLA AUs that I don't have time to fully develop (at least for now), including AUs based off my fics like Red Water, Azure Flame.
This is a spontaneous dump of writing (some of which will be copied from replies to comments of my own fics). If you'd like to write/draw something based on any of my ideas, just credit me for inspiration first. I'm always open to talking about any of these.

Summary
When Prince Zuko was five, he would produce his first flames. Bright, roaring fire that licked at the walls of his bedroom as the curtains blazed, tearing through the crimson-colored furniture and burning the room to ash. His parents would find the young boy standing calmly in the center of the blaze, unmoved by the destruction and watching silently as his chambers perished.
Prince Zuko’s younger sister, Princess Azula, would only create her first flames four years later, at the age of seven. Much to her father’s disappointment.

Summary
Azula is not staying in the 'rehabilitation center' Zuzu decided to lock her in. She is planning an escape, and has almost everything figured out, so there's no question she will make it out of there in no time.
Things start to complicate when her usually sharp mind decides it's time to think about useless things.
Useless, pathetic things she doesn't ever care anymore.
She can endure it, and when she gets out she can find a way to make those voices stop once and for all. Once she gets out of the facilities, her mind will not play any more tricks to her.

Summary
Ursa goes into labor on a cold, moonless night. A storm rages outside, and the air feels alive with lightning. Her labor lasts two days, and when she looks down at her baby, her heart stops. He’s deathly pale and as silent as the grave. His eyes are terrifyingly bright, a pale yellow-green only found in lightning, and his hair is as white as ash.
Four years later, her second child is born. Her labor is just as long, the storm just as wild, and this baby is born with the same white hair and electric eyes, this time a chilling blue.
Neither of them seem human.
Half a world away and ten years later, Kya prays desperately to Tui and La with her last breath. They respond in the most unusual of ways.
In the aftermath of the raid, Katara's eyes turn pure white, and she never sleeps. She watches the stars, singing old, old songs that are only half remembered. Sokka spends more and more time out on the ocean, and swears he can talk to the sea life. It's only a mild shock when they both begin growing gills.
Half a world away from that, Toph runs away for the first time, and finds that she's much stronger than anyone gives her credit for. Much, much stronger.

Summary
Ursa visits Ozai in prison like in the comics, except this time it’s Ozai asking the big questions such as what the fuck has Iroh been doing since Azulon’s death and who the hell is advising their boy king son. Purely for his own amusement of course.
Ursa gets concerned.
Iroh is also concerned (for entirely different reasons)
Zuko Zukos about, it doesn’t do anyone any good
I’m pretty sure I'm meant to say that i don’t own ALTA somewhere, whether I should say it here or in the notes is anyone’s guess

Summary
“I…. I’m sorry uncle. Just please-” His voice cracked on that word, oozing with emotion, “-leave me alone. I don’t want to be mad..”
The ‘at you’ part of the sentence hung in the air wordlessly and he closed his eyes letting his head hang. For a moment the air was still before it filled with the soft patters of Uncle leaving before it merged with the waves beating against the ship.
“He knows something troubles you.” Kyoshi said. He could feel her gaze boring into his flesh. He let himself slide down the door feeling drained.
OR
Zuko was born the avatar unbeknownst to the world and himself. But he knows there is something strange about him. Especially when some tall Green lady, in face paint follows him (How come no one seems to see her?)
Oh and probably when his mother freaked out about him bending water.
But everything fine.
Its perfectly fine.
He's just... something entirely new. :)

Summary
In another life, the avatar awoke one hundred years after the war began, when the last waterbender of the southern tribe broke the glacier that held him captive, freeing him from his prison. In another world, the first thing he saw after a hundred years of confinement was the face of the same girl who freed him and his brother. This is not that life.
In this world, the glacier broke seventeen years earlier. What came out of it was less a human and more a spirit.
(Or where Aang wakes up earlier with memories of another world and decides to give his friends a better childhood, starting with Zuko.)
