Summary
“Don’t you feel a little bit sorry for her? You know the princess’s story, she was betrayed by her friends and family and lost her mind."
“So what? Does being betrayed really hurt that much? Things like that happen in Caldera every day.”
The capital of the Fire Nation -
Caldera City.
In this city there’s a saying, that a man has a false heart in his mouth for the world to see, another in his breast to show to his special friends and family, and the real one, the true one, the secret one which is never known to anyone except himself alone, but sometimes that hidden truth may turn out to be another lie. The imperial city is a city full of political games - an unrivaled amusement park.
“People betray people. These things… they happen all over this city.”

Summary
“Zuko?” Azula breathed, and she heard her voice shake. “This isn’t your room, Zuzu, it’s mine. You shouldn’t be here anyways…” She trailed off, because it was at that moment that she realized that Zuko’s face was unmarred. Just this afternoon, she had seen her brother’s left side get terrifically burned. She remembered how Zuko lay curled around himself on the ground as Ozai walked away. Azula remembered how she had smiled viciously as she watched.
Still, an unharmed Zuko stood right there, glaring at her.---
Azula began to unravel far earlier than anyone realized, right after her brother was banished.

Summary
He truly was a fool. Zuko was threatening a complete overhaul of the highly trained earth and waterbenders who knew her habits well.
“I-I’ll replace them with someone who won’t — who wouldn’t…” he turned his back to her, his shoulders drawn.
“Wouldn’t?” Azula pressed.
“If I truly care about what you want - what?” He asked instead, turning back to her, earnest, and thoughtful.
“Get this thing out of me.”

Summary
They all look a bit weary, a bit rough around the edges, a bit scared. But every single one of them has a look of determination on their faces, of the grim resolve that they will see this through to the end, no matter the cost. They will either emerge victorious or die fighting.
Anything less would not be fair to the world.
(Then again, why is it on them to save the world from tyranny? On a group of teenagers and barely adults? That isn't fair.
But the world has never cared about fairness. At least not in the last century, and fuck it, someone needed to make a stand rather sooner than later.)

Another smile. Another kiss. And as she lays there, wrapped up in Zuko's warmth, Katara remembers a saying: love is brightest in the dark. And here is the thing - times are dark; they are living through darkness. But she has found her light, and she will not let it go if it's the last thing she does.

Summary
Azula has no easy life, even though it may seem so. Aang has no easy life either, although many people think so. Struggling with cultural norms, like family, addiction and romantic endeavours is the fundament of their problems. And if they bump into each other, will their lives become better or worse?
Definitely worse.
Title's from Fleetwood Mac's song. I own nothing but the (existential) drama.

Summary
Ty Lee stared at Azula through her tear-stained face, looking up at her as though she were the world. She pressed her hands down on the log and slid closer to Azula, so that their thighs were touching on the log, their feet sharing the same sand.
Azula’s first instinct was to shove Ty lee off, to bark orders and remind Ty Lee that she was in charge. But the feeling of her thighs against Ty Lee’s was strangely so...nice. She didn’t want to let it go quite yet.
“Well you’re right,” Azula said finally, breaking the silence. “I am incapable of doing something wrong.”
Ty Lee smiled in the firelight.
Azula felt her eyes softening as she stared at Ty Lee’s smile. There was something so….perfect about the simplicity of it, a soft smile and a strange belief that everyone, even Azula, could be good. Could be happy. This goes out to all the Azula stans with mommy/daddy issues. Poor azula is a traumatized, closeted lesbian who deserved better.
