Summary
Rubbing his hands over his face, Aang fell against Appa to take comfort in his fluff. “And it’s been a hundred years? That’s- I can’t believe- Wait, then why have you been looking for me, uh, for the Avatar?”
This was a pivotal moment and it needed to be handled with finesse, care, and the truth if there was any hope of Aang agreeing to work with him. Yes, Zuko could do this.
Aang wakes up from the ice and the story starts as we all know it. But instead of a Fire Nation cruiser crashing into Katara and Sokka's village, a small sailing boat lands on their shore. How will Hui the Yangchen Scholar change the coming events?

Summary
Ba Sing Se Stands!
The tide of the war is shifting. Rapid Fire Nation successes in the beginning brought them to the gates of the Earth Kingdom capital itself, but they have broken upon its walls. Now, aided by their new Air Nomad and Water Tribe allies, and armed with advanced new weapons, the Earth Army sets out to liberate their country- and drive the hated Fire Nation invader into the sea.
The Fire Nation may be on the back foot, but the war is still far from over. The Great Comet still burns its way through space, and is closing in with every passing day. When it arrives, every Firebender on the planet will gain a massive power boost, and the tide could shift once more. Worst of all, Avatar Yue lingers in a Fire Nation jail cell, captured along with the exiled, now disgraced, Prince Zuko. Their friends, now left without a leader, must decide on a new course of action. And all the while, an increasingly desperate Fire Lord Ozai plans a sacrilegious sacrifice, which could put the Fire Nation back on top for good…

Summary
To Zuko, life is a stage and an important play is taking place in front of him. He believes that it is his destiny to keep the story on track no matter what and ensure everyone gets a happy ending. Things would be so much easier if the characters would stop dying, killing him, and/or ending up in some sort of catastrophic situation. It doesn't really matter, he will reset the stage as many times as it takes until everything is perfect.

Summary
Aang is born female. It doesn't change all that much, until it does. What twelve-year-old girl wouldn't instantly develop a crush on the masked dual-sword-wielding bad boy who busted her out of Avatar jail?
Zuko's dignity suffers.
A story in which Aang accidentally humanizes herself to Zuko far earlier than her canon counterpart by the simple virtue of being a girl with an awkward crush. Well, Aang is the one with the crush. The awkward part is mostly Zuko.

Summary
The veil separating the spirit and material worlds has thinned in his absence, and on return the Avatar attracts the supernatural like honey attracts flies. Every member of his group somehow lives life with one foot in the material world, reality, and the other in the Spirit World, beyond the veil. Well, all except one, who’s arguably one of the most important and the only reason he’s not still asleep in that iceberg, and another, who’ll never get her chance to truly join him, doomed to die an early death. This changes when Zhao, in a stroke of self-proclaimed genius, decides to kill not one fish, but two.
Or: The one where Aang is the Avatar, Toph is blessed by badgermoles, Suki carries a piece of Kyoshi’s soul, Sokka’s the reincarnation of a spirit of nature and strategy, Zuko’s Sunkissed, Yue basically is the moon spirit, and Katara is kinda sorta sharing a body with La.

Summary
The first day Ty Lee meets Azula's targets, she's immediately smitten. They're all complete and total strangers, yet their auras glow invitingly, their positive chi drawing her like a magnet. She finds many things in common with two of them. TyLokka, sibling!Toko, Kataang
Although it is heavily based on canon, this is NOT just a "stick Ty Lee into the Gaang, put her with Sokka, and everything else that happens is the same" story.
I also address some questions like:
(1)"How did Zhao get the identity of the Moon and Ocean Spirits from Wan Shi Tong?"
(2)"What happened during Iroh's journey to the Spirit World?"
(3)"Why is Jeong Jeong's philosophy of Fire so different from the dragons'?"
(4)"Why did Hama not rescue any of the other waterbenders from the Southern Tribe when she escaped?"
(5)"Um . . . . . Ursa?"
(6)"And what t h e H E C K is up with the Avatar State? Smash your back into a rock and suddenly you're spiritually enlightened?"To name a few.

Summary
Zuko knows his father does not believe the Avatar is alive, he does not truly expect him to find them. He's being punished for his disrespect, for not living up to what his father demands. He might deserve it, but he won't spend his life looking for someone who hasn't existed in nearly one hundred years.
If he's going to be a disappointment, he may as well do what he pleases, and if that means joining a pirate crew, chasing some spirits and blowing up whatever Fire Navy harbors are on the way, so be it.
-or-
A few months after Zuko's banishment he finds himself on a pirate ship.
____
Sokka/Zuko is endgame, but it's the slowest of slow burns.
MCD is not either of them.
There are original characters, I promise they don’t suck — I’m also apprehensive about ocs in fanfic but hopefully you end up loving them as much as I do —

“By agni, that child,” his mother mutters, an acidicness there that has become more and more these days. Everytime Azula makes a snide remark or trips him in the hall.
He can’t find it in himself, to feel it that intensely when he looks at his sister crying something fast and desperate, pleading for forgiveness. Even when sparks go yellow and white and then not at all as she drops to her knees.
Zuko feels sorry for her, despite his best efforts.

Summary
“Never give up without a fight!” was the last thing he saw before fading away. It felt bitter-sweet. He’s been thinking about this. He was scared, but there was a sense of peace with it. He felt the fire inside him flicker, and then there was darkness.
Or:
Zuko's perception of things changes (a bit too late) during the Crossroads of Destiny, which leads to unexpected ways in which his fate changes and intertwines with the other's around him.
