Summary
The story takes place five years after the original events of ATLA.
What would happen if Aang breaks out of the iceberg five years later? How would the world look, and more importantly how would the characters change?
21 year old Zuko has been out at sea for the last six years, since his banishment. One day he sees a clear blue light near the South Pole. Naturally he investigates, not in the hopes of regaining his honour. That is something that he lost hope of long ago, instead he does it for the sake of his crew of misfits. Little does he know that the strange blue light is about to rock his fucking world upside down.

Mai plans to kill Ozai, she doesn't know how, when or if she can she just knows she needs to kill the bastard that hurt Zuko, maybe even punch Azula for extra measure because she's being a bitch.
Zuko loves Mai, he will live for her when he couldn't live for himself he lived for her, to see her. He just wished she'd stop being so over-protective and let them fight together.

Those few who remember tell legend of a shared birthday, the close bond the two boys shared during the golden days of youth, and the tragic falling out caused by the Fire Lord's ambition. But even those who knew of their relationship did not know the true nature of its depth.
On his deathbed, where he should be reflecting on his accomplishments for the great Fire Nation, Sozin can only ruminate on his dearest relationship, which ended when he killed the man on the other side of it. He longs for redemption, but after the atrocities he has committed, he knows there will be none.
