Summary
The Archipelago Continent prides itself on peace with help from the Detectives and Guild. However, an arcane fog begins appearing on islands, bringing natural disasters and chaos, allowing pirates to roam. What secrets lie within the fog? Fogcutters T'nuri and Alejandrien must work with their fellow Detectives Kaliente and Emile to cut through the mysteries before all goes to ruin.
After washing up on a far-off island in the Archipelago Continent, T’nuri’s life as a Cubone woodworker comes to a crashing halt in a maelstrom of supernatural weather and fog.
However with the combined help of a Jangmo-o from the Fogcutter’s Detective Agency and their Fuecoco and Grookey teammates the four discover that their latent power can calm the fog. T’nuri sets off on an island-hopping journey back home, beset by dangers and mysteries of the spreading Ruinous Fog, and stranger and stranger Pokémon with the team in their sights.
What lies beyond the Ruinous Fog’s smoke? What is life and death? Flip the hourglass along with the Fogcutter’s Detective Agency as they set sail for the answers to this fogbound mystery.

This is the lore and history for an original mythos of monster people that I am working on. There are maps, author's notes in the beginning, and a whole textbook worth of fictional history covering the creation of the world, the gods that inhabit it, the wars the people fought, the various monsterkind that inhabit it, and how it eventually comes into contact with Earth (because of course it has to), and lots of other things! Latest World News: Unrecognizable portals begin appearing in the 18th century. Experts theorized and largely agreed based on several factors that the portals were actually connections between Asasefu and some other mysterious realm, causing people to have visions of a world they had never seen. The portals permanently transformed parts of Adwene, and after civilization settled around them, they were renamed to Nzila and Etosha in 1836 A.R.

England, America, and Japan (or Arthur, Alfred, and Kiku, as they are sometimes called) decide to go back to America’s house via magic instead of buying plane tickets. The spell goes wrong and no one realizes until it’s too late and they are now… in the USA? As it turns out, the spell failed successfully and while they are now in Washington DC, it’s not the DC they know. Now, with no known way to get back, the three have to deal with the latest problem in a series of many: trying to navigate Samuel Washington and Mary Calvert’s house’s fucked up floor plan.
(Seriously, who designed this place!? Oh wait, I did…)
Oh, and they have to deal with the chaos that seems to follow the group of 51 people, a cat, and a seeing-eye dog, all who come from different states. Almost as if they are Representing those states and the US as a whole. -

The Borderlands between them, once considered a neutral ground, are being forced to choose sides. Oceanfolk, people who live on the sea, are between it all, being hated by Domain but unwelcome in Dustrius. Magic is permitted, even encouraged in Dustrius, though Domain bans it entirely, and use of magic may be punishable by death.
