Miyuki raises an eyebrow, his heartbeat still fast from the high of the fight, and steadies himself. Mei’s still looking at him eagerly, a cross between friend and commander, and Miyuki decides not to think too deeply before he grins and tells him no.
It starts with Miyuki meeting Mei, the crown prince of Inashiro, as children. It ends with Miyuki leaving Inashiro and Mei behind at sixteen, with no allegiances to his name.
It starts again, six years later, with Miyuki returning to Mei, who has since become king.
