Summary

Along the story, it's not only Homelander who will learn a lot about himself and his purpose in the universe, but also Badger, who'll face personal demons and challenges ahead of this mentorship, and threats like Secret Organizations, and even the Viltrumite Empire, that want to destroy them.
This is a tale of heroism, responsibility, secret wars and intergalactic threats, and a universe far different from the world of the TV show, where heroes actually exist to do good.
(Yes, Badger is my The Boys version of Wolverine.)

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 6 OF RED HOOD: RESSURECTION
The chance that Jason would change the direction of his barrel was minuscule. Tim didn’t have enough time to force Jason to see how useful he could be; even less to con the guy into considering him his brother. Most of the time they had spent together was Jason conning Tim, actually. As Tim stared at the Joker, idly cataloging that the madman was saying how Tim’s death wouldn’t matter, he was truly aware of his own approaching death.
And that was okay.
OR: Tim's thoughts during the standoff in episode 6, followed by a conversation between him and Jason a few weeks later on a rooftop.

Slade comes to stand beside him. He’s staring down at Damian stress teething on Dick’s shoulder, but he doesn’t say anything.
Being watched isn’t fun, especially when it’s what Dick wants the least, right now. “Everything is fine.” He insists. The sharpness of the bite in his voice screams otherwise.
“Our pup is eating you instead of his breakfast.” Slade returns, much more level headed than Dick himself.
“I am his breakfast, most of the time.” Dick retorts. He doesn’t look up because then he’d have to face the stare Slade is absolutely levelling at him, and he’d rather not.

The Wilson pack should be settling into Bludhaven comfortably—but Dick is crumbling under invisible stress and making waves that none of them need right now with other concerns knocking at their front door, least of all Dick himself.

After a difficult year (for many reasons) Tim goes back to Gotham to help Jason Todd reconnect with his family. Whether Jason wanted that or not, well, Tim had time to wear him down. Between the tutelage of Deathstroke and Lady Shiva, he was well equipped to handle himself as Jason's equal and hit Gotham's vigilante scene as the Buzzard. His parents were dead and the lonely cavity in his chest kept growing every day, but it didn't matter. Tim's mission could and would succeed despite his personal feelings and failures. He was fine and he had a job to do.

The League has become too dangerous for Damian to stay. Talia sends Damian off with Jason, but Jason knows bringing Damian immediately to Bruce would probably jeopardize his Red Hood plans and, well... things. So, Red X takes Damian to Dick and the Titans instead. Just until he finishes his Red Hood activities. He'll just need to juggle his two identities for a bit until he gets the Black Mask/Joker plan set up. And then after... well, that depended on what Bruce chose.

Yes, Mr Doyle passes her sky high-standards by merely inflicting crippling financial abuse and neglect.
This is to say, Riley desperately needed money since the government checks intended for her go directly to Doyle's alcohol addiction. So when the Condiment King covertly offers her a job while working her shitty retail job at Bat Burger, she can hardly refuse. A couple hundred bucks, just to steal a few boxes of hot sauce? What could go wrong!
OR: An average gothamite becomes a goon for C-list supervillains, and accidentally becomes known the Spoiler's arch-nemesis; Mercenary.

A chance to foil a league of assassin’s plans doesn’t come every day and it’d be good to have Bruce owe him a favour, or at least to have some connections to use when times get dire.
Jason doesn’t feel safe in the darkness. He doesn’t think he’ll manage to survive for long with the way he’s making himself into a target for everyone.
His enemies' enemies are his best friends or however the saying goes.Or:
Jason escapes the league of assassins with his sanity more or less intact and becomes Red Hood all on his own, having decided to stay away from Batman. But learning that Tim Drake is getting targeted by the league, is too much to ignore and he gets involved. (To save his own skin of course.)
The only problem is that he didn't realise what doing that really means. -

Dick flinches, his brain shredding itself into powder. Dick curls up tighter against the wall, shoulder digging into the concrete. He knows that voice. Sometimes he thinks he knows it better than his own. But the body doesn’t match the tone. Nothing about this feels like it should. If only Dick could pinpoint how.
Batman leans forward, white lenses glowing. His silhouette devours the room behind. His ears stretch unnaturally long. His cape engulfs the room. He doesn’t look human and certainly not safe.

“I know, B. Trust me, I know.” With that, he started the engine. He made sure to rev it obnoxiously on his way out.

Bruce makes Dick move back to Gotham for a case that requires him to go undercover as Richard Wayne in the upper echelons of Gotham's social scene. However, the more he tugs at the strings of the mystery, the more the line between Richard Wayne and Dick Grayson begins to blur. Oh, and it doesn't help that the asshole with the eyepatch keeps showing up with what seems to be an express purpose to mess with his case, and his head.

Elsewhere, the vile and evil Deathstroke starts to make moves to acquire Robin with the help of the beaten down Tara Markov. However Starfire and Raven are determined to help out and look after their little robin in anyway they can. So they are not about to let Deathstroke get his way.
