Chaeyoung nodded once, quick and small. She couldn’t quite look at her. Not when Tzuyu’s eyes were still glassy, lashes clumped together from rain and tears. Instead, she tilted her face up toward the storm, pretending to examine the sky like it held something urgent.
“Yeah,” she muttered. “No problem.”

It was quite soothing. Made her drift towards sleep faster, actually...
...until she heard it. A rumble of thunder.
Not super loud. But clearly getting closer, if the increasingly heavy rain was anything to go by.
'Oh dear... I wonder if Tails is still scared of thunder?...' She thought to herself, half a thought running through her mind telling her to check on him, only half because her sleepy mind couldn't work up the motivation to do it.
Then, moments later, another crash of thunder hit. Louder. It kind of startled her, actually.
And within seconds, Tails was busting into her room, diving into her bed, and clinging to her for dear life, trembling in fear.
...There was a problem with that.
Tails was older. Amadeus was gone. She had been trying new things with her freedom.
Including sleeping naked.
She felt Tails' shaking slowly stop. In every inch of his body, she could sense the confusion, the slow realization...
