Now well-accustomed to sorting through Rozanov’s evasive bullshit, Shane read between the lines, then went over it in his head once more, just to be sure. “Wait. Are you telling me you’re friends with a fucking exorcist?”
“Technically, yes. But I would very much recommend you do not call her that, should you ever meet.”
Shane’s headache was starting again.

Shane sighed again and Ilya kissed his cheek, getting up to make a quick snack for them both. Shane had so much more he wanted to say, but had no idea how to say it. Maybe Ilya was right, maybe therapy would help.
