They danced around it over the years, Ilya always poking fun. But Shane knew deep down it was a minor problem (okay, okay, a bit bigger than minor) and he knew Ilya was worried. Ilya knew it would creep back in every so often. Shane went to therapy for a few months but never really shared with Ilya what they talked about. This was the one area in his life he had a hard time talking about, even with Ilya. “Maybe we need to talk about therapy again, it helped, yes?” Ilya continued. “A little. Yeah, I guess I should consider it”, sighed Shane. “Shane, I know it is hard for you to talk about. If you cannot with me, you should talk to therapist. Galina has helped, you never know”. Shane sighed again and Ilya kissed his cheek, getting up to make a quick snack for them both. Shane had so much more he wanted to say, but had no idea how to say it. Maybe Ilya was right, maybe therapy would help.
