All of us have seen Hollow Knight Time-travel fix-it fics. All of us have seen Hollow Knight Isekai fics. I now combine these two with something darker, something I’ll be keeping close to the chest, in the hopes I can make an actually cool reveal.
Jack was not hero material. He was more computer engineer material. So he’s not the best option to throw into the world of Hollow Knight. But he’s the one that fate - or something darker - chose. With nothing but his wits, the few items from his bedside table, and his knowledge of the game, he has no choice but to set on the journey he’s only ever seen through a screen… though it quickly becomes apparent that this isn’t the same story he’s played through. But the issue isn’t him–the issue is the League’s reaction to all of it. Turns out being homophobic in this day and age can wreck your reputation and drive your stocks into the fucking ground. Who knew?
The League has designed a perfect plan to get back on top. Take two insanely talented, insanely popular players and turn them into the Pride Month poster boys. Make the League look good by acting like they’re together and heavily supported by them. Get their funding back and more good PR than they’ve ever gotten before. Reach new audiences that would’ve never touched hockey otherwise. Foolproof.

I kind of explore my own experience of asexuality and religious trauma here, so the title and chapter titles of the fic come from one of my favorite songs, Leith Ross's "We'll never have sex." Enjoy the angst, enjoy the fluff, enjoy the (eventual and earned) smut.

… And it’s definitely a book on arithmancy and not a smutty romance novel with a transfigured cover.
Her colleague and cheeky nuisance Draco Malfoy is determined to find out why a book about arithmancy of all things has got her so flustered.
A little bit of book espionage later, and things spiral slightly out of control when Draco and Hermione find themselves sucked into the book. The only way out? Act out all the tropes (and try to not fall in love in the process).
This is a slow-burn, sort-of-enemies to lovers fic (they're not really enemies, they just really like annoying each other). It's heavy on dialogue and banter, isn't overly angsty, and is, of course, packed to the brim with all our favourite tropes.
