To end the war, you find out that you're arranged to marry him. Not only that, but while en route to the Homura Empire, you need to stop to have meetings on behalf of your kingdom with two allied lands. Not only did you not want this marriage in the first place, but you begin to hear about both the emperor and the son you are to marry, and the things you hear are far from soothing.
Starting writing this in a club at school a year or so ago, so the first few chapters are VERY different in quality, but researching for things in this fic has created new and expanded my preexisting special interests like crazy. Bonus points if you can catch the Fire Emblem and Tinker Bell inspo. Also, for your (Cyneswiþ's) kingdom, I wanted it to be kinda bardcore-y or something related to that (I was listening to harpy hare on loop at some points).

After getting into a very loud, public argument with Hervör in the marketplace, Brother Cellanus takes her words about not doing anything about the brothel in Mamecaster to heart. And he does something about it!
…And that something goes horribly wrong.
Due to the nature of this sin and all the other shenanigans Brother Cellanus has been up to for the past few years, he risks being excommunicated! (He did steal money to preach in a brothel, tried to kill the priest who knocked up his sister, and accidentally went to a pagan orgy after all!)
Brother Cellanus must go to the Archbishop of Jorvik and grovel. Luckily for him, the Archbishop won’t excommunicate him, but he also refuses to give him absolution for his sins and forbids any priests under his jurisdiction to do so either!
Now Brother Cellanus must travel across Europe to seek absolution from the pope, lest his soul be damned to Hell. Luckily, Father Abbot has permitted Brother Felix, Brother Cellanus’s crush and closest companion, to attend and keep him out of trouble.
Receiving absolution is more difficult than Brother Cellanus anticipated.
