Summary
Set within the first century of the Charter, the fledgling New Kingdom threatens to break apart with political turmoil and enemies on all sides. To the North, Morcar, the greatest warrior in the land and illegitimate, abandoned son of King Palanor Uallus strives to bring together scattered tribes and claim what he believes to be his birth right - the throne of the New Kingdom. Summary
Set after the events of Goldenhand, a long lost Abhorsen-in-Waiting awakens from an ensorcelled slumber - not able to recall how he became trapped, nor how long he had been entombed - he sets off back in to the Kingdom, keen to complete his unfinished task which will reveal his true past.
