Summary
Throughout five seasons and sixty-five episodes, we - and therefore Merlin - never once heard the actual prophecy that guided, led, and dragged our characters to their ends. There were quotes and excerpts, cliff notes and summaries, but never once the prophecy itself.
Merlin stood by Arthur’s side for more than a decade, working toward their shared future without ever once hearing the prophecy that foretold it.

Summary
After Arthur disobeyed his father and retrieved the Mortaeus flower for Merlin's cure, Arthur's frantic pleading to save Merlin led to a misunderstanding that actually convinced Uther to take the flower to Gaius.
Now all Arthur has to do is explain to Merlin why Uther thinks they are lovers.
And while Uther is supportive of the relationship, he requires it kept secret. But in his paranoia, Uther misinterprets every innocent interaction between the two as something far more intimate, to the embarrassment of everyone involved.

Everyone hates him, the king is an insufferable ruler and an even worse father, everything’s falling to pieces underneath lavish façades, and no one’s really happy here, as much as they try to make it seem otherwise. And now, to top it all off, Mordred’s got this stupid wizard apprentice following him around as if they’re… friends?
This kid doesn’t even know him, and for the love of god, Mordred has no idea why he would want to.
Camelot is the coolest place ever. Douxie’s done his fair share of travelling throughout his short but eventful life, so he should know. He has his own room here, his own bed, and guaranteed meals every day, not to mention now being under the protection of the most powerful sorcerer of all time. And then there’s Mordred, who, sure, almost killed Douxie that one time, but that’s all in the past and they’re pretty much besties now.
Or, they will be. Douxie is determined and he knows a lonely soul when he sees one.
