Nakidori scowled and coolly replied "No."
Seidou grimaced and said "Sorry man, I'm not into boys."
Minami turned to Yua and raised his eyebrows. They looked at him, then at Nakidori, who narrowed her eyes and shook her head. "Uh, I'm not a lady, but uh, sure? I guess. I didn't have plans tomorrow."
Minami's smile widened. "Sweet! Meet me at the train station at three.", he said cheerfully, turning to walk away.
Yua cocked their head to the side slightly as they watched him go, then turned to their friends. Nakidori sighed and rolled her eyes.
Yua blinked and and densely said "...What?"
Seidou made a face. "I hope it goes well?"
Nakidori cracked her neck, muttering "Keep us on speed dial."
A younger and less wise Kazama Yua makes bad decisions which hit back with lifechanging consequences. Their friends prove to them what family truly means.
This is a prequel to the main story of Play The Hand You're Dealt. It's an origin story of sorts for Kazama Yua.

The window of the drop ship is a nice touch. Expensive one too, which makes him wonder if it’s part of the game he’ll be playing. It’s enough to make him focus, map potential routes, and jolt some life into his old bones. He takes note of the planet’s three continents; even manages to locate the three main cities the planet boasts of. Of course there must be other settlements, but it’s a new world and his eyes can only focus on so much at once. Ordinarily he’d just accept sit back and accept his fate, but this new master has been kind. He can make it fun for the newly crowned King Jayce of Lamia.
Viktor's had a long, illustrious 'career' as a personal pet, and has seen more of the settled galaxy than most other people. When his previous master dies leaving no heir, it's understandable that it's time for his long overdue decommission. What isn't understandable, is why the new King of a backwater planet would take such a personal interest in seeing it done.
