He twisted her arm up behind her back and pinned her head to the table. The sound she made was not a sound I’d ever heard from her before. She sounded like a wounded animal, fighting for life. Dale had me in the next heartbeat, both wrists in his one hand. My body thrashed and twisted, but his grip didn’t loosen. Suddenly I found my head mashed against the table as well.
