    “That’s right baby, dad will protect you.” Then Tony did the same to Morgan earning himself a sweet giggle, and sloppy kiss to the cheek in return.

    OR A storm hits the lake house and Peter is scared. It dredges up all Peter's fears and doubts of belonging. Tony Stark refuses to let his son think he doesn't belong and reminds him he has a family.

    Bucky wakes up to the sound of something crashing. He sits up and hears grunting downstairs. He gets up and heads downstairs slowly. When he gets downstairs, he realizes the sound is coming from outside. He heads out there and Peter’s looking around.

    “Hey, you good, kid?” Bucky asks.

    Peter turns and Bucky knows the look in Peter’s eyes. He’s mostly asleep, and panicked. Peter attacks Bucky, which he mostly tries dodging. After several minutes of trying to wear the kid down and no signs of him slowing, Bucky puts him in a hold where he can’t move his arms.

    “Kid, calm down,” Bucky says. “It’s just me, it’s Bucky.”

    “Buck… Bucky?”

    “Yeah.”

    Peter stops fighting and his body gives out. Bucky holds all of Peter’s weight.

    “Just leave me here. It’s my fault that Mr. Stark’s gone,” Peter chokes out. “Just leave me here with him, please.”

     

    Alternatively, a rough morning leads to healing for Peter and Bucky.
