Steve was waiting for his coffee order when he heard something that completely threw him off. "Oatmeal latte for Eddie." Steve froze in his feet, thinking there is no chance it's him, not the Eddie he was thinking of, not the Eddie he tried not to think of. But it is. Steve checked with his eyes and saw the messy curls he had convinced himself he did not miss at all, black leather jacket, and ridiculously tight black-faded jeans crossing to the bar to take his apparently never-changing coffee order. Steve didn't know if he should leave, if he should stay and pretend he didn't hear a damn thing, and let the older guy leave, if he should say hi, he had not prepared himself in the past five years for the possibility of Eddie Munson going back to Hawkins, let alone running into him. He decided not to leave, he had already paid for his coffee and had plans, not good plans, but a plan is a plan; it would be up to Eddie to decide whether he wants to talk to him or not, thinking that Eddie did not saw him and that if he did, he never wanted to hear Steve's voice again, so he would not talk to him. Boy was Steve wrong.
