The bonds of friendship and family are proven and tested, but Theo seriously could have done without Jasper’s nosiness, thanks, though, to be fair, when there was a bunch of kids being attacked around the school and rumours that an ancient, evil monster was lurking about the place behind it all, Theo supposed she couldn’t really blame her big bro for fussing...and maybe he did have good reason to worry, because when you go after one of Theo’s friends or family, all bets are off.

Unfortunately they do, and now they're trying to prove that the shop's owner must be a vampire, a hypnotist, or even something as outlandish as an angel. It probably doesn't help that Crowley keeps encouraging them...
But despite that, even the sane parts of the internet seem to be having a blast following the bookshop's history through war, fire, romance, temporary abandonment, and a tooth-rottingly sweet happy ending – all through the lens of a couple of Yelp reviews.

When Pansy had suggested, that uniquely Slytherin smile on her face, that Harry should bring some of the animals from his accidental reptile rescue in for the kids at Draco's work – like he’d needed the reminder that Malfoy had become a respected paediatric healer on top of his unfairly good looks – he'd known it was probably a risky idea. But she'd picked her setup well, because what kind of arsehole says no to sick kids?
Or: Harry invites Draco back to Grimmauld to try to get over his fear of snakes. It somehow turns into weekly appointments for Harry to try to teach Draco Parseltongue. Lucky neither of them is nursing a ridiculous and not-very-well-hidden crush, huh?
This fic is fully written, 2 chapters + short epilogue, roughly 16k words all up. Will aim to post part 2 on Friday and the epilogue the week after.
