You were a special case in heaven, one that greatly befuddled the High Council and the angels under their control. That was for certain.
You were the last human to cross the threshold of heaven before humanity collapsed in the era of the New Peace, but you weren't innocent as a child would be in a better, peaceful world if there were one at all.
You've seen too much, had too much hope broken, and lost your touch for expressing dignified decorum and fake, joyful emotions befitting an angel with your social status on Earth. After all, you were beloved like a saint on Earth.
You were the last bartender on Earth who actually cared for his customers and somehow grew up believing in the word of God. You gave drinks away, listened to all the woes of the people who came into your bar like a priest in a confession booth, keeping your tongue, and gained a reputation that followed you after death after saving so many lives. All indirectly. A reputation so pure and so impactful in such a broken world that it granted you your body from Earth, but without the pain and scars from a war that lasted too long, and with a new set of wings. Get to serving!

“Behold,” Crowley said, holding out his hand, where an oyster fork was resting on his open palm. “The Child of God.”
Aziraphale stared at him. He blinked. His eyes flicked back and forth between the demon’s face and his open hand. “...Crowley?”
“He’s nae joking,” Moira said, and she wearily nodded towards… the fork. “Tha’s me kid.”
Aziraphale raised his eyebrows as he warily looked back and forth between Crowley, Moira, and… the fork.
And sure enough, the oyster fork wiggled a little, squirming into a more comfortable position, and its tines curled and flexed ever so subtly.

When Dean starts his forest ecology PhD in Alaska, he's immediately hit with a wave of panic the moment he steps out of the airport. There is probably a mistake after all, as Dean is under the impression that grad school (for someone who isn't a slightly traumatized redneck with a GED from the Midwest) is supposed to be a breezy five years where you do some science, take some classes, and BAM, suddenly you're a scientist. With the help of a certain angel and others, he realizes that no one actually feels that way.
Or where Dean Winchester realizes that he deserves to be in this ivory tower as much as anyone else and oh also he is worthy of love, especially the gay kind 😜.

This was when Aziraphale paused, a sound of shuffling catching his attention. Oh, blast it all, can’t an angel get any peace?
Sighing quite heavily with the weight of millenia of interruptions, the angel stood and removed his gloves and spectacles before he picked up the gramophone needle, halting the sweet sounds of Shostakovich. Sorry, old chap.
“We’re closed,” Aziraphale chimed out, eyes flicking about in search of the source of the sound. “Can’t you read the sign?” he huffed as he marched off, quite determined to get back to his precious reading session as soon as possible.
However, he paused and rolled his eyes when he saw a flash of red and black dart between the bookshelves.
“Now really, dear boy, this isn’t funny!” He set off once more. “Crowley!”
OR:
After a rude interruption to one of his reading sessions, Aziraphale finds himself in Wonderland. He gets more than he bargained for and ends up pinned with the responsibility of saving Wonderland from certain destruction. Will he stay and help, or run due to his anxieties? Only time will tell.
