Lex’s fingers trail down his scalp, stroking the nape of Kon’s neck with his nails. He shivers. “Kon, it’s not a secret that Superman and I are not friends, but you don’t think I would bring his child into our disagreements, do you? You wear his emblem, and yet we don’t let that get between us.”
Of course, Kon thinks. Jon is still a middle schooler. Too young for Lex to look at him with rage, the same way he looks at Superman (or with hunger, the way he looks at Kon). He still feels weird that Lex knows Jon exists.
OR: Kon thinks of Jon like a brother. He would do anything for the kid—anything except tell Jon that he’s been hooking up with Lex Luthor for the better part of a year.
Kon knows Lex isn’t a good guy, but he’s the only adult that Kon can turn to. Mount Justice has become too big and too empty, and Lex is always there to comfort him whenever he needs. No one would understand, Lex says, and so Kon will keep this secret from everyone. Even his team. Even Jon.

Summary
Conner hadn't been avoiding Gotham on purpose, honest. It's just, things got complicated, and he needed time to work through them. Regardless of his feelings on the matter, he ends up back in the city earlier than he'd hoped. It's fine, though, totally chill, because he's pretty sure he's got a handle on everything now. He can be normal again, as long as they stay normal.
Unfortunately, Tim and Bernard seemed to have missed that particular memo.

Summary
When Match fails to complete his mission to kill Project Thirteen, he takes the unconscious idiot on the road as he flees for his life, defecting from the organization that created and raised him. He makes it less than three hours before his newfound freedom is stripped away and he is taken into Justice League custody.
Match doesn't have high hopes for the future, especially not once he finds out that he's going to be kept in Batman's custody, but he's at the very least starting to think he might be able to avoid decommissioning if he plays his cards right.
Too bad for him that he's never been any good at cards.
||I just wanted to write pathetic Match. If you don't know who Match is, that is fine. He's a clone of Kon and that's really all you need to know. And also for a note on canon, why would a copy of a copy be closer to the original than the primary copy? That makes no sense. match should be less powerful than Conner on paper and I'll die on that hill. This will have infrequent updates.||

It had been a long journey back from their space mission, but it was over and they were finally on their way back. Anita had taken to scrolling through the Green Lantern navigational database they had access to, looking for anything interesting along their way back – after all, if they’d come all this way, they might as well sightsee if there was anything interesting. So far, there hadn’t been anything that had really grabbed them as something they wanted to see, but it was still fun to look through them.
“Oh, that’s neat – this system, S2813-BA789, is a red dwarf with a set of really compact planets that are going through an alignment. If you were on the surface of a particular planet you’d be able to see all six of the other planets in the sky.” Anita gestured to the visualization on the console and they all crowded around it.
“Red dwarf? Ehhhn.” Bart said skeptically, side eyeing Kon.
“Yeah, not ideal if something goes wrong.” Tim’s mouth twisted up in worry.
“That’s settled, then. It’s a no.” Cassie said.
“Actually, I’d like to see it.” Kon’s voice interrupted. He’s quieter than normal.
