Bruce taught his Robins how to lockpick on day one. Either one of them could have escaped easily by now if they desired to do so. Something as rudimentary as a pair of handcuffs can’t contain two trained bats, yet neither seems to be in any hurry to escape.
“My guess is they lost a bet,” Dick theorizes to Bruce later while they watch on as the pair attempts to get on Jason’s motorcycle without tripping over each other. “Or it’s some kind of weird deal and whoever wins gets the other’s Xbox or something. They seem fine, Bruce. Leave ‘em be.”
But it’s weird. And this bizarre game goes on for longer than Bruce anticipated he’d have to watch, carrying on for another day, and then another, and then two more. Tim and Jason stay locked together at the wrist, and neither gives any explanation as to why that is no matter how much Bruce prods.
