The serrated edge sliced against the bulky knit of his sweater, thick enough to hide the swell of his body. As the tattered edges fell apart, though, there was no concealing the egg. There was just Striker and his hypnotic eyes, the tip of his knife pushing feathers aside to expose the less dense patches where skin peeked through, where his feather growth had not been able to keep up.
