Over the years we follow Ted face off against many challenges, drugs, rabid dogs, bullies, dealers, foster care, and maybe even some monsters. All to keep his family safe as the man of the house.

Getting kidnapped, auctioned, and shipped out into the desert wasn't something Sable ever expected to happen to her, even though given where she came from, some might say it was inevitable.
But when her bloodthirsty purchaser Derek finds out certain similarities between them from chance clues, he's suddenly forced to tone down his sting a little... and he is not happy about it.
Fic focused on my OC Sable who ends up in Derek's route in the game. Focuses mostly on her dynamic with Derek though it's not in the sense of forming a conventional romantic relationship. I also ship her with Jacqueline so there are aspects of that, but again, it gets complicated. Title is from "Problems" by Mother Mother. At present it's likely to be 15-16 chapters, and I'm aiming to update every 2 weeks.

Downsides? All of the complications which come with all the upsides, of which there are many. Well, no time to waste, this lost city won't explore itself, and maybe if you're lucky you might find a few more kobolds along the way, enough to start your own little colony.
