Demons shouldn't have souls.
They're supposed to be magical beings driven by powerful instincts, to destroy, rape, pillage, and generally be awful blights on the world. After all, if by some impossible coincidence that a Sanctified Lust Demon with a soul got isekai'd and conceived of a whole host of other demons like her, they'd probably be too busy having sex to do anything. It's not like some of them would actually like mortals and take up arms to help them...They'd have to disguise themselves as a group of errant knights, freeing the lands from evil for the small price of some coochie. And that'd be ridiculous.
Right?
Surely, this group of oddball errant knights calling themselves the Knights of the Holy Mother won't make a major difference.

Summary
Mercy Goldenheart hadn't wanted to join the quest to destroy the One Ring, but somebody needs to protect Frodo and Bilbo is in no position to do so. They wander in Khâzad-dûm, Gandalf leading them through the huge kingdom. They reach a crossroads and while Gandalf tries to remember the way, Gimli and the Hobbits try to retell the quest to retake Erebor to the Men. Mercy gets roped into it and thinks of her husband.
Later in Lothlórien, after Gandalf has fallen, Gimli peers into the Lady Galadriel's mirror and sees a king long dead, whose voice he hears on the wind. He immediately tells Mercy who is less than pleased and then remembers who else is dead.

Never have I ever written an ABO story, until now.
The usual suspects in a different setting but still having family dynamics from hell and so many grievances. Also, everybody is even younger and more confused than the last time. It is still Arda in spirit and custom but geographically it is more like Earthsea.
Like I feared, this turned out to be a somewhat epic endeavor, with a bunch of children craving attention, mysteries, agricultural problems, battles of different kinds, dreams, omens and portents, Dwarrow, fertility rituals, good and evil Valar and me being unexpectedly lenient towards Kings Thingol and Ingwë. And of course there are dragons, too.
There probably should be more sex, and less meetings, but there is a war to be waged and people to be saved, so busy parents have to take what they can get.
So, Prince Fëanáro is returning to the Isle of Tirion from a bout of island hopping....
