Summary
"Claiming the land, claiming its pain, claiming its death..."
The Stolen Lands is a wilderness of rugged beauty, infested by bandits, monsters and other dangers, wedged between countries that know better than to try and claim it. One day, however, a neighbouring ruler starts to recruit adventurers, intending to break the rule of bandits on the Stolen Lands and organise it into a puppet state.
Guelder, an elven druid carrying the curse of lycanthropy, is one of the many who heed the call, and the one who ultimately prevails. It will be her task to bring law and order to the Stolen Lands, walking a thin line between building civilisation and preserving nature. As she gradually discovers the secrets of the land, she realises she has wandered to the playground of mysterious powers that use her as a pawn in their game, like they did so many others before her – and those powers do not want her to succeed.
Will she be able to break the cycle and build a kingdom that will survive her? -

Caitlyn forgot the heat, forgot the boundary and forgot every careful restraint her newly formed body imposed on her.
She stepped into the river.
The surface froze beneath her bare feet in a spreading bloom of white, the water hardening in delicate, fracturing patterns that webbed outward with each step she took, cracking softly as the current pressed against the ice from below, as if the river itself could not decide whether to resist her or to accept her.
She did not stop.
The river shifted around her, freezing into a fragile suspension of stillness until she stood at its center, held between forest and desert, winter caught in motion.
Vi stared, unable to move.

Seconds before he succumbed to the darkness in his mind, a shining light boomed in the sky. His body didn’t respond to the blinding rays, but his mind did notice it.
It was a blinding, bright, pale green light. An explosive radiation of a recognizable aura.
And though his vision was blurred, his half-lidded eyes soon laid upon a magnificent sight.
A figure falling above him, with their arms reached out desperately. Their eyes glowing, wide with tears. Their mouth opened as they cried. And with the sun blazing behind them, the silhouette of a pair of ovate green shone in prominence.
He wished he could’ve admired them for a few seconds longer…

Luckily, Deadpool’s heard about a Filipino rain-goddess called Anitun Tabu, and if anyone can help with magical storms from magical crocodiles, it’s her! So he talks to a guy, who talks to a guy… annnnnnnnd most Filipinos in New York are artists, athletes, or Catholic, so they don’t know much more about this chick. Where else should they go but California, a state with a famously large Fil-American population?
Deadpool ends up kidnapping a mutant called Ivy Ilaw, and his companions are… less than pleased to find out that they’ve suddenly become accessories to three crimes. Even worse, Ivy has a history of getting kidnapped, since her response when meeting an armed Deadpool at work was to chug some beer and fight him.
Anitun Tabu soon forces Deadpool to make amends: Take down the mutant-hunters who kidnapped Ivy the first time, and THEN she'll help everyone get home. But maybe the friendship they needed was kidnapping a waitress and stealing her car for a forced road trip!
