OR During Vincent's confession, Alastor is summoned to Heaven for some war negotiations and ordered to go into hiding before the start of the first extermination. Bound to not tell Vincent anything, Alastor tries to figure out his own feelings with what little time he has left. Vincent tries to puzzle out what the hell is going on.Both men fuck it up immediately. Then Hell goes through its first extermination.
The Alastor/Vox dynamic here is requited romance, unrequited sexual attraction, and a whole bunch of miscommunication to top it off, namely Alastor not knowing his own orientation.

Alastor stood in front of him, head tilted slightly, arms folded behind his back, smiling with his usual half-lidded expression. Vincent closed the small distance between them in a step, he brought his hand to Alastor’s face, cupping his cheek, leaning down to give him a peck on the lips.

He noticed Alastor swallow before nodding.
