The city hums under a gray morning sky. As the colourful leaves fall behind the windows of Hiroki Dan’s office at the Investigation Division Unit 1, Hiroki opens a file with the newest case assigned to him. His desk is neatly organized. Files stacked, coffee still warm in a small clay mug, which was supposed to resemble bear, but looks more like a cat.
In a file he sees a name and picture of the unemployed murderer and meth addict, Kurou Otoharada, arrested by Soichiro Yagami ten years ago. He was recently released on parole but fled, killing first a taxi driver and stealing his fares, then a police officer and stealing his gun.
Yesterday, Otoharada killed and injured six people in a shopping center with the stolen gun and then escaped. Now it's up to Chief Dan and his team to find and arrest him.Hiroki doesn’t blink. His fingers pause over the paper. His eye subtly twitches.
