Summary

Remember that fake execution in episode 17? Yeah, me too. I love that scene to death, but so many things could have gone wrong there that I have decided to point them all out. Psychological? Physical? All the torment which turns into a story of its own? Coming right up!

Summary
Light is chained to the worlds most insufferable detective, who also happens to be the worlds most brilliant detective. And a little bit endearing - or a lot, whatever.
Despite their predicament, Light wants to help him bring down Kira, and he can't help it if feelings happen. That's something that's out of his control. What else is out of his control? His missing memories, and the small nagging doubt he has about his innocence.
The clock is ticking, can he help bring down Kira and get the guy? Or will there be something standing in their way?

Summary
After Light's death, a bored and strangely lonely Ryuk is given a chance to do it all over again. He drops the Death Note, determined to make his favourite human's lifespan last a little longer this time. It's just for the entertainment, of course.
However, Ryuk didn't expect to find a Light Yagami whose smiles were genuine and whose company was a quiet comfort. Now, the Death God, who thought he was just prolonging a game, finds himself utterly, hopelessly devoted to a boy who has no memory of their past. And Light, for his part, can't explain the warm, safe feeling he gets whenever his Shinigami is near.

Light hasn't really had to think much about romance - outside of the obligatory, occasional outing with a girl, expected of the sort of guy he's seen as.
When he discovers feelings of genuine romantic attraction blooming from the least predictable source, he's surprisingly quick to accept it. After all, who else could ever be a worthy partner to the god of the new world but another god?
