The orbs that focused onto Light were a shade darker than his own and a similar hue to his fluffy hair that circled his head in layers. The paleness of his skin contrasted with the cup of coffee on the table, a soft red staining the man’s cheeks. Light decided on a dull Tuesday that he liked light red stains on milky ivory.

you should give me some feedback though :DDDLight isn't entirely Kira and Kira isn't entirely Light whatever that means, like DID or something of the sort do you understand? say yes
Also L and Soichiro are alive because i missed them
and Mello and Near helped because they're great but they aren't in the midst of whatevers going on dont get excitedthis is really just food for thought if you're like me and enjoy staring at the wall imagining fanfics (or different endings to existing fics) instead of writing them because im bad with words and also im too lazy to draw comics. QUITE the conundrum here

Shuichi Aizawa found the notebook by chance. Matsuda thought absentmindedly, gaze drifting from the notebook ever so slightly. When he read the notebook even further, he was… a little creeped out? On how detailed it is. You need a name and a face, in forty seconds or they die of a heart attack? Why in the world is the default heart attacks anyway?
His gaze went back to the notebook, as he picked it up and opened it again, like if anything different was going to appear from the other ten times he opened it. When he thought about even more, it sounded ridiculous. No man would be killed with a flick of a pen. That’s not how kills work, there has to be effort after all. The hardest part about killing humans is killing humans. However now, this notebook is all up in front and saying:
“Now even murder can be lazy! Isn’t that the epitome of humanity?“

L was his only savior, the only thing standing between him and execution. L was his only human connection, anymore. He had long since forgotten the faces of his family or friends - even when he closed his eyes, L’s face was the one burned into his retinas, although he was only allowed to look when given permission. L’s voice was the only one he dreamed of, lulling him into sleep, and at times he’d even dared to imagine it being softer, a coddle instead of a reprimand - but Kira knew these were foolish dreams and had long since given up hope on them. He deserved everything L had to give him. He deserved the pain. He deserved to kneel.
What else was a sinner to do before God?
L has kept Light imprisoned for five years following the end of the Kira case in lieu of executing him. To the world, Kira was dead - but to L, Kira was his toy to fulfill his desires, a consolation prize for never finding out how Kira committed his infamous killings.
But when the original Kira reemerges, it becomes clear that Light was never Kira after all.
Now L must grapple with his own guilt, failure, and a codependent Light that's been conditioned to believe he doesn't deserve kindness.
